FAQs

Do I need to open an account or pre-register?
No. All you need to do is send a text message starting with the keyword DIALOG to 81616. You will then receive a text message from us confirming that your mobile phone has been charged with £5, and your T-Talk account has been credited with £5.

I now have my T-Talk credit. How do I dial an international number?
First dial your access number which you received in the confirmation text message, for example 0208 497 3476, followed by your destination number. Please wait to be connected or press #.

How much will a call cost to 0208 497 3476?
The cost of a call to the landline access number will be charged at your mobile’s standard rate to a landline or may be used as part of your monthly inclusive minutes.

Why do I need to press the # button?
Dialling # after the international number lets our system know that you have finished dialling, and will increase the speed of connection. If you forget to press # you will still be connected. Do not press the green button (or the dial button on your keypad) after dialling your international number.

Are the rates the same at any time of the day?
Yes, T-Talk prices are the same at any time and on any network.

Is there a daily charge, expiry date or connection fee?
There are no daily charges or expiry date on T-Talk. There is a one off connection fee of 0.5p to 15p, depending on destination.

Can I call mobile phones in another country?
Yes. You can use your T-Talk account to call landlines and mobiles in any country in the world. Just dial your access number followed by your full international destination number. Please check rates on our website.

I am having problems dialling certain destination numbers. Who should I contact?
Please call our customer services on 0844 545 3555 Monday – Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

I have been charged the full international rate on my bill instead of the low cost call rate. What should I do?
There can only be one reason for this. If you have been charged the full international rate, and your international call shows on your bill, you did not dial the Auracall rate access number before your destination number. We cannot charge your mobile without you being connected via our system.

What is automatic top-up?
T-Talk automatic top-up is an option that allows you to update your account credit automatically when your credit runs low. You will hear a warning message 30 seconds before the automatic top-up takes place. You can either hang up and top-up your account manually or continue talking on the phone. To top-up manually send a text message with the keyword to 81616. If you choose to stay on the line, your mobile will be automatically charged £5. At the same time your T-Talk account will be credited with £5. You will also receive a text message confirming that your mobile has been charged and your account credited with £5.

I have not received a confirmation message. Was my mobile charged?
No. The confirmation message is proof that you have been charged. If you have not received this message we were not able to charge you. This could mean that you do not have sufficient credit on your mobile or there are network delays. If you have any questions please call our customer services on 0844 545 3555 Monday – Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

I have sent lots of messages to top-up my account but none of them work. What should I do?
Please check that you sent the correct keyword to the correct number. You should also make sure that your mobile phone SMS inbox has not exceeded its limit. Otherwise, try switching off and then switching on your handset and send the message again. If you are a pay as you go user you need to have a minimum of £5.20 on your account. If all of these failed, you should contact your mobile network operator as your phone may be locked from access to Premium Rate SMS. If you have any questions please call our customer services on 0844 545 3555 Monday – Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

I have sent lots of messages but I would like to be charged only once.
Please do not send more than one text message every three hours. Text messages older than 4 hours will not be charged. Your mobile can be charged only twice per day.

I blocked my account by sending STOP. What should I do now?
If you send a text message with the keyword STOP to 81616, you are placed on a black list. You will not be able to top-up your account or use any of Auracall’s services but you can use all of your remaining credit. To re-activate your T-Talk account and to continue using or accessing our services, text START to 81616. Please wait to receive a confirmation message and then top-up your T-Talk account manually.

I have stopped my automatic top-up by sending AUTOOFF to 81616. I would like to activate this option again. What should I do?
You can activate automatic top-up by texting STARTAUTO to 81616. You can deactivate auto top-up later on by texting AUTOOFF to 81616.
